Gold Smuggling Busted at Ahmedabad Airport | 2.8 kg Seized

Описание: Customs officials at Ahmedabad International Airport in Gujarat have uncovered a major gold smuggling attempt originating from Dubai.

During a detailed inspection of an IndiGo flight, officials—assisted by aircraft engineers—searched the aircraft and found two hidden packets inside the speaker box of the front toilet section. Upon examination, the packets contained 24 foreign gold bars.

The total weight of the seized gold was approximately 2.8 kilograms, with an estimated market value of ₹4.26 crore. Authorities suspect that the gold was concealed with the intention of illegal smuggling into the country, and investigations are currently underway to identify those involved.
