ACA Allertor 125 | Full Attack & Alert | Blue Eye, MO (Stone Co.Tornado Siren Test)

Here's a monthly test of the siren system in Blue Eye, Missouri. Sirens are tested on the first Saturday of each month at 1PM. The is actually an ex-Washington DC unit that was refurbished and reinstalled here by Table Rock Alerting Systems last year. Blue Eye has three sirens. This Allertor, a Thunderbolt, and a Model 5. The Allertor and Thunderbolt are installed at the Morningside Church, which has a pretty large property. The three minute attack tone signals a tornado, while the one minute alert tone signals a flash flood.

This was also my first time hearing an Allertor in person and man...this did not disappoint. After several failed attempts recording other Allertors, I'm glad I was able to record one that not only works, but sounds attack in a very cool acoustic environment. The hilly terrain and the large barn behind me gave quite the echo. You can even hear a nearby Thunderbolt peep from time to time. I don't usually travel this far for siren recording. I actually came here to pick up a blower that came with the Thunderbolt I recently acquired. So I ended up getting a cool recording and a thunderbolt blower that will be featured sometime in the future. Anyways, it was a super fun trip and I plan on coming back next Spring.
