“White Monkey” is a phrase commonly used by foreigners in China. It refers to white boys that make a career in entertainment relying mostly on the fact that they are... white. Over the years, the White Monkey has evolved into Mandarin-speaking vloggers that’ll say whatever the Chinese audience wants to hear. Their vids blow up, wallets swell, and souls shrivel.

So should I say screw it and become a White Monkey? Or is there another path to fame, one that doesn't require sacrificing sincerity?
