Brain Attack- Science Stroke Art 2014

Описание: As part of Science Stroke Art 2014 to celebrate Action on Stroke Month, Brain Attack at Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry helped people of all ages to better understand the workings of the brain. Led by neuroscientist Professor Stuart Allan and The University of Manchester, with support from the Stroke Association and volunteer stroke survivors, the interactive workshops and short talks involved a demonstration dissection of the sheep brain, the chance to look at brain cells down a microscope and learn how different parts of the brain are affected by stroke.

Artists from creativity after trauma charity, Nelly Globe, were on hand to run creative workshops throughout the day, while volunteers from the Stroke Association offered blood pressure checks and answered any questions relating to stroke.
