For this week's adventure we were back on familiar ground in the Lake District. After a few months without a hike it was great to be back in among the Wainwrights on a sunny February afternoon.
Starting from the lovely village of Grasmere we were making our way up one the Lake District's most popular small fells, Silver How. This relatively short walk offers some incredible views back over Grasmere and down to Rydal Water beyond.
We made a quick stop as we made our way through Grasmere at the world famous gingerbread shop to pick up some supplies, then it was off into the fells for some much needed mountain therapy.
This is a great little walk and at around only 4 miles it's not overly difficult and could be managed by most people with a reasonable level of fitness. This was perfect for us as it had been around ten weeks since we'd last been in the fells so Silver How was the perfect place to start building our mountain fitness up again as we move in to the spring.
