Turning the Pawn using centroid acorn on my Grizzly G0602 CNC lathe. This conversion is using a beefed up BD tools conversion kit and closed loop stepper motors. Subscribe for upcoming in depth videos about my lathe and other converted cnc equipment.
Note: this is a demo file that is included in centroid acorn. It is a pre written program with fairly conservative feeds and speeds. I did the part off manually as I didn't have tool offsets programmed yet. My parting tool was set too high above center so it did have a fair amount of chatter.
I will be doing a follow up pawn and pushing the feeds / speeds faster.
