Should you get the alloy wheels or stick with the spokes? Easy. Get the alloys. The only exception to this would be the occasional rider where a puncture and the inconvenience of a tubed tyre would not be a big deal. For everyone else, the alloy wheels (and crucially) the tubeless tyres are what you should be going for. We don't think they detract from the design all that much and being able to fix punctures quickly and easily, especially given the state of our roads, is a big benefit to give up just because you want to sit with a toothbrush all Sunday cleaning up the wheels, heh heh.
