This isn't your standard hay grapple, like a Maxilator. It's meant to work with New Holland bale wagons, instead of an accumulator. This is made by Lewco and can move 18 bales at a time from a balewagon-made stack, to the trailer. The particular model I have can rotate, allowing me to tie-in bales on the trailer. Today we look at taking advantage of the rotating function and using the headland management function in my Massey Ferguson 6616 tractor.
Moving tons of hay isn't something many people are excited about. For that reason, many people turn to large square or round bales. However, many people still prefer small square bales. That's where bale or hay grapples come in. When help is hard to find, a bale grapple can be a low-cost way to reduce the amount of manual labor needed to move small square bales.
