Two years have passed since we first met and it's a testament to our pairing that I'm still not sick of you yet.

We've had trips to Greece with some lackey and chips, nights out, nights in, potato wedges and dips. We've both been to Bath with uncomfortable bedding, Cape Town with penguins and dussies and all that bloody load shedding.

We've lain on sandy beaches, walked beneath skies both of blue and of gray. Yes, you are my Otter and you keep me from floating away. I met all your family in March and twice you stayed with mine. I befriended your mum's Irish setters. You joined in with our Christmas time. We've both been through times of great stress and I knew we'd be okay because you are my Otter and you keep me from floating away.

The adventures we've had, I hope are just the start because I love when I'm with you and it hurts to be apart.

With you I feel found, I'm no longer scared. I got so lucky when we were first paired. I know where I am and that's why I can say that you are my Otter and you keep me from floating away. There now follows a new verse. Now six years have gone by and still we're as one, faced up to the great trials of life and yet managed to have fun. We've pulled each other from the darkness with a lightness of touch. You will always be my Otter and I love you very much.
