Patna Metro’s first phase launches on October 6, 2025, with public service starting October 7, making Patna the newest Indian city with a metro rail system.
Key Features for Shorts The initial operation covers a 4.3 km segment of the Blue Line, connecting Patliputra Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), Zero Mile, and Bhoothnath stations.
Metro runs daily from 8 AM to 10 PM, with fares between ₹15–₹30 for this stretch.
Coaches are decorated with Madhubani art and local landmark stickers like Golghar and Mahavir Mandir, giving a strong local culture vibe.
Metro Lines and RoutePatna Metro consists of two corridors — Red Line (East-West) and Blue Line (North-South).
Phase 1 includes 24+ planned stations, connecting major hubs: Danapur, Mithapur, Patna Junction, Khemnichak, ISBT, Gandhi Maidan, Rajendra Nagar, and more.
The complete Metro network will cover 32+ km, aimed to be fully operational by 2030.
