Louie Vega is a Grammy-winning music producer, artist, and DJ who is known for reinventing the New York house music and club scene.
Vega established himself as a pioneer of house music in the New York City club scene, spinning in historical clubs like Studio 54, Hearthrob, and Devil’s Nest. He is now also known as half of the production team Masters at Work, who have remixed the likes of Madonna and Jamiroquai.
In 2013, Vega and his orchestral crew, Elements of Life, released Eclipse—Fania’s new release in 15 years. The album transcends genres, featuring Louie’s soulful touch on Dance, Latin, African and Brazilian tracks.
The two-disc collection showcases the group's new tracks while also paying homage to Fania Records and the Fania All-Stars. Eclipse is fresh, inventive, and as Vega described it, “epic and beautiful.”
