The 4-legged stitch is a knotted cross stitch. It is great to add texture and interest in areas, and is easy and fun to work.
The Crested Chain stitch is a traditional border stitch that works well for grasses, seaweed, and other organic, flowing shapes. The crest part can be long or short, adding even more interest. I also show you how to work a variation that might be new - I can't find it elsewhere!
