Описание: Hundreds of people protested in Crowborough, East Sussex, against plans to move asylum seekers into a local army training camp. Some speakers urged people to “form patrols” and stop paying council tax.

The Crowborough Training Camp, which can house up to 540 men, has been offered to the Home Office for 12 months as part of the plan to close asylum hotels. Another site in Inverness is also being considered.

Wealden District Council has officially opposed the plan. Council leader James Partridge said many residents strongly object to the proposal.
