Digital public infrastructure is central to India’s G20 priorities. The world is undergoing rapid digital transformation and yet a large section of the world’s population—often the poorest and the most vulnerable—do not have the capacity, tools, or resources to be fully part of the digital economy. In most of the cases, the starting point is not technology;it is a clearly articulated set of policies, strategies, and programmes where technology and a digital first mindset is core to the design and architecture. This panel will expand on India’s approach to creating digital public infrastructure and DPGs, and its impact on lives and livelihoods. This session will explore the potential for international cooperation to make the digital economy and society more inclusive and equitable in the coming years and decades.
