Описание: If you are being offered meds for your baby’s reflux or being told “they will just grow out of it”, I would encourage you to first investigate these options:
1. Feeding mechanics at the breast or bottle including working one on one with an IBCLC (lactation consultant) and/or feeding therapist
2. Potential food sensitivities (check out )
3. Evaluation for tongue/lip tie
4. Bodywork for potential tension in baby’s fascia

When we dig deeper we often find reflux also correlated with: tethered oral tissues, clicking or leaking milk during feeds, poor latch, overall body tension, torticollis, plagiocephaly, poor sleep, colic etc.

Now if you, your baby, and your baby’s doctor aren’t bothered by the reflux and there are no associated issues like the ones listed above, then no need to treat it. Or if you’ve tried everything and the only thing that helps is meds, by all means use what works! Medication is necessary in many cases.

But if your gut tells you that your baby is struggling, then know that you have options - but it may take finding the right provider who can help you dig deeper to find what will help!
