Ellinor Guttorm Utsi is a Sámi Indigenous leader defending her community’s ancient reindeer-herding way of life in northern Norway. Several hundred wind turbines are planned directly on their summer grazing lands, threatening to break migration routes and destroy their culture.
The Norwegian government must respect the Sámi’s right to participate in decision-making processes that may affect their lands, territories and resources.
