Most people assume shoulder mobility is limited by the joint itself — but in many cases, the real blocker is overdeveloped, tight traps.
When the traps stay elevated, they hike the scapula upward and physically block your arm from moving overhead. Stretching alone doesn’t fix this.
This is where heavy band compression changes everything.
By applying massive top-down pressure on the traps and scapula, the band forces the shoulder into a more optimal, depressed position. Once the traps are taken out of the equation, the arm suddenly has a clear path — and overhead range opens up almost instantly.
⚠️ Important:
Light bands won’t work
You need serious tension (100+ lbs of force)
Hold for no more than 2 minutes
