Warly has finally recieved his rework and addition into DST which is FREE for everyone who owns the game. Unlike Wormwood, who is also a character from a singleplayer DLC and was reworked to fit DST's multiplayer environment, warly is not a paid DLC, which admittedly doesn't make much sense, but whatever.
As per usual Warly was shipped with a stunning animated short, revealing a moment from Warly's past. This one was definitely more introspective and personal than the others that we've received so far, which is especially interesting. There is a lot to talk about here but nope, no, this isn't a lore video. Let's talk gameplay.

Warly himself has 150 health, 200 sanity, and a hefty 250 hunger, although he gets hungrier 20% faster. The effect of warly's refined palate does not end there. Every time Warly eats a prepared Crock Pot dish, he gains less and less stats from it until he only gains 30% of the original health, hunger, and sanity of a dish after eating it 5 times. If warly does not eat a dish for 2 days he will forget, and the timer will reset allowing Warly to safely consume the original dish again. Meaty Stew is the ideal counter to this downside, as the hunger it provides will actually last longer than warly will take to forget it again. Warly takes half the time to cook raw ingredients over a fire.
Warly's main downside is that he cannot eat non-crockpot food WHATSOEVER.

This is exactly what we need to be seeing from DST's character updates. This downside is perfect in my opinion as it drastically forces the player to adopt a different playstyle while not being unfair, and perfectly compliments Warly's skills in preparing more advanced meals. If every character had a downside like this - I'd be pretty chuffed.

Warly also brings along 3 unique structures - his portable crock pot, gloriously returning from the first game, a portable grinding mill, used to prepare spices that can enhance and give special effects to crock pot meals, and the seasoning station, which is used to apply warly's seasonings to his dishes. (cause apparently he doesn't know what a salt shaker is.)
Other characters cannot use warly's custom cookware.
the Portable Grinding Mill is Warly's second structure, centered around seasoning. The mill is crafted with 2 gold nuggets, 2 electrical doodads and 4 sticks. While placed on the ground it acts as a prototyping station, unlocking 3 new recipes in the Seasoning tab. These spice mixes can be applied to any crock pot dish using the Portable Seasoning Station, crafted with 2 gold nuggets, 3 cut stone, and 6 twigs.

Warly's custom crock pot dishes are probably the largest part of his update - there is an absolute smorgasbord of culinary delights to be enjoyed at the hands of our beloved chef. All of Warly's custom dishes can only be cooked in the Portable Crock Pot.
