Our first major stop, the Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër), is a mesmerizing natural spring where crystal-clear sapphire water bubbles up from a deep underground cave, surrounded by lush vegetation that creates a tranquil, ethereal atmosphere. Continuing north, the scenery transitions into the bustling, vibrant capital of Tirana, a city defined by its eclectic mix of Ottoman history, colourful painted buildings, and sobering "Bunk'Art" museums housed in former Cold War nuclear bunkers. Crossing the border into Montenegro, we reach the capital, Podgorica, which offers a starkly different landscape: a metropolis built at the confluence of five rivers. Culturally, Podgorica is a gateway to authentic Montenegrin hospitality (gostoprimstvo), where you can explore the 15th-century Old Ribnica Bridge, the massive Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, and a thriving outdoor café culture nestled among green urban parks.
