Tijuana, Mexico, is infamous for being the busiest border in the world, its quirky donkeys dressed as zebras, and its reputation as a hotspot for crime, drugs, and cheap thrills. It is also home for DFMK, a punk rock band formed from the ashes of several bands back in 2009; they played their first gig and released their first 8-song demo in 2010. In the last 15 years, they have released several EP’s, a Full
Length LP, toured Mexico and the USA several times and had a few lineup changes on the way. In 2025 they’re about to release their second release on Alternative Tentacles, their new LP “Playa Nuclear”.

Overall, DFMK’s style is characterized by its stripped-down, DIY approach, reflecting their roots in the underground punk scene. Their music is fast, aggressive, and direct, capturing a raw energy that thrives on urgency and defiance.
