Learn how I'm Sculpting an original Slimer from Ghostbusters 1984

Описание: Here is my (Valek Sykes aka "Valek the Blood" ) work in progress sculpture of the 1984 Ghostbusters Slimer. This is a life size version of Slimer sculpted and molded from beginning to end. This is as close to the original one sculpted by Steve Johnson for the iconic 1984 film "Ghostbusters".

It's professionally sculpted by me, with Foam and Clay then molded. I have over 25 years of experience in the film industry and I own the special effects company Tech Works Studios. Most likely you have seen some of the movies I have worked on. Before owning my own company I used to work for FX legends Rick Baker and Stan Winston.

Slimer is a key character form the original Ghostbusters and a fan favorite so I wanted to make this and share the process. As a professional sculptor and FX artist it was important to do this right. I found every picture I could find from behind the scenes at Steve's studio when he was making the original.

This has every detail I could see and is built the same way as if this would be a costume made of soft materials (foam latex) that could stretch and move. I will also do a part two to show the teeth and gums and of course the arms so stay tuned.
