合金弹头 之国家战争 | METAL SLUG: THE NATIONAL WAR (J2ME)

Описание: 合金弹头 之国家战争 (also known as 特种兵之二战风云 or COMMANDO: WORLD WAR II CHRONICLES) is another Metal Slug clone for mobile phones, released by Beijing Century Tiankai Network Technology Co., Ltd. in 2009. The plot is again directly tied to the war between the invading Japanese forces and the Chinese armed forces, but this time we know NOTHING about the characters. The unnamed protagonist finds an enemy base and simply destroys it, along with its leader (who is a huge Street Fighter 2 nerd). You won't see any words of thanks for completing the game either.
From a gameplay perspective, this is a run-and-gun game with clunky controls and no option to continue after losing all your lives. The protagonist starts out with a decent arsenal of weapons: a knife (capable of destroying a tank with two cuts, like in... S.T.A.L.K.E.R.?), a pistol similar to the MP38, a grenade launcher, a shotgun, and a rocket launcher. However, the enemy also has their ace up their sleeves, in the form of massive amounts of health for the soldiers and atrocious hitboxes for the bosses.

The soundtrack consists of two tracks (the menu theme and the level theme), but this game (not featured in this footage) also features a set of sounds, including explosions and groans.
Graphically, the game isn't far removed from the Metal Slug games, but it feels like the developers were creating a mobile "port" of Commando 2, which is actually a bootleg clone of the Metal Slug series.

Overall, this is another fun game that won't let anyone get bored, but the lack of a storyline somewhat detracts from the experience.
