Speaker: Camila Rueda Manrique
Camila Rueda is a biologist from Colombia. She recently earned her Master of Science in Biological Sciences from Universidad de los Andes, where she studied orchids from seasonally dry tropical forests. Her main areas of work are conservation science and teaching. For over four years, she has collaborated closely with Universidad de los Andes and the Cartagena Botanical Garden on the preservation and conservation of seasonally dry tropical forest and mangrove species. Currently, she is a research intern at Selby Gardens, where her primary focus has been setting up and updates protocols in the flasking lab.
