Ukrainian are enduring freezing temperatures inside their homes as heating systems remain offline for over a week across parts of Kyiv.
Olia, who lives in a high-rise apartment, has been without heat for seven days, relying on hot water bottles and blankets to stay warm as indoor temperatures hover near freezing.
Authorities have opened emergency shelters across the city offering beds, charging stations, and hot drinks, though most residents are reluctant to leave their homes.
Thousands of buildings remain without electricity or heating as Russian attacks on energy infrastructure continue, leaving vulnerable residents, some climbing 15 floors on foot due to broken lifts, struggling to cope with the harsh winter conditions.
