KERALA Engineering Aspirants' Guide to KEAM

KERALA Engineering Admission Test
• Administered by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala.
• Approximately 50,000 applicants seek admission to around 140 colleges in Kerala.
• The counseling process is conducted online, administered annually in Kerala, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Dubai.

Eligibility Requirements
• Candidates must have passed the Kerala Higher Secondary Examination or an equivalent test with a minimum combined score in Math, Physics, and Chemistry.
• Applicants must be at least 17 years old on December 31 of the year of admission.
• The candidate must possess Indian nationality, Individuals of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).

Non-Keralite I & II Category
• Non-Keralite Category 1 (NK 1) candidates are eligible for consideration for State Quota seats but not for reservations.
• Non-Keralite Category 2 Candidates are those who do not fit within the previously stated Category 1.
• They can be admitted to Government-controlled Self-Financing Engineering Colleges for both Government and Management Quota (MQ) Seats.

State Students Enrollment
• Students from any state are eligible to register under the Non-Keralite I & II Categories.
• No distinct quota for female candidates, similar to JEE.
• Candidates who satisfy the NON-KERALATE eligibility criteria are eligible for a 15% quota on an all-India basis.

Qualifying Marks
• Minimum marks for each exam, exam I and Paper II, will be required by candidates in the General, SC, and ST categories.

Course of Counseling
• Applicants must register on the KEAM website and provide their chosen courses and college selections.
• Once a seat is allotted, candidates must pay the money after being assigned seats.

Choices After Seat Distribution
• Candidates have the option to accept the seat assigned to them or choose to move on to the next round.
• The lesser selections below the allocated one will be deleted from the candidate's account for each further round.
