LODE PRINS EXHIBITION
Last Sunday Lode Prins, international master from Amsterdam, Holland, gave a unique exhibition when he played against 10 strong players with clocks. He won against Spiller, Wyman, Blumenfeld, St. John, Casden, Joyner and Hurwitz. He lost to Borochow, Almgren and drew with G. Reinhardt.
On request there will be a repeat performance today at 2 p.m. when he again will play against the following opponents: Steckel, Levin, Gibbs, Borochow, Spiller, Maron, Geller, Joyner, Solano, R. Smith, Martin, Sherer and Woronzoff. The exhibition will be held at the headquarters of the Hollywood Chess Group, 108 N. Formosa Ave., and visitors are welcome to watch this most interesting event.
Prins will also give an exhibition against all comers Tuesday evening at the Los Feliz Chess Club, at the Hollywood YMCA, Hudson and Selma Aves. He will play up to 40 boards, $2 a board. Players are requested to take their own boards and sets. Play will start promptly at 8 p.m. Early reservations should be made by telephoning the YMCA, as this is Prins' last exhibition on this tour in Los Angeles.
