Cheap keyboards are getting good, and good keyboards are getting cheaper.

The budget keyboard segment is getting really good and competitive, with great enthusiast-grade features spilling over onto the budget stuff. In my hand is the Royal Kludge RK65. Previous RK boards were plagued with issues, but RK finally decided to step up and solve these issues. It has gasket mounting, comes in with 5 pins hot-swap PCB with south-facing RGB LED and Flex Cut, a rotary knob, great keycaps, QMK/VIA compatibility, a PC plate, good switches, and nice sound. For just 40 Dollars or BDT 4,300, you can get a very good compact keyboard. This has to be the best pre-built compact keyboard on the market. This review is also applicable for RK R75.

Update (As of 21st August '24) : RK is one of the keyboard brands distributing without source code -- wireless tri-mode boards, missing functionality such as HE matrix etc. Royal Kludge is specifically named in QMK issue 24085 in a list of vendors that QMK will not accept PRs from "until source code for all violating keyboards is provided."
