Anna Webber is a New York-based flutist, saxophonist, and composer whose interests and work live in the overlap between avant-garde jazz and new classical music. Peter Margasak of the Chicago Reader says “Reedist Anna Webber, a Brooklynite by way of British Columbia, is one of the most exciting new arrivals on the New York avant-garde jazz scene in the past couple years.” Anna co-leads a big band, the Webber/Morris big band, and she and her Quartet were featured in Peter Watrous’ Jazz Series at Silas Marder Gallery in 2015.
