Join along on another awesome trip in the Ozarks! In this trip we meet up late in the evening along the Illinois Bayou. Jacob from ‪@EaglesPursuit‬ got there after dark and we sit around a bit before heading to bed. Unfortunately, Moose, my dog, was not dealing well with the humidity and the rise in temperatures here lately. I put him in the front seat and let the jeep run for about 30 minutes cooling him off. After that he was good for about an hour and woke me up again panting. Started the jeep again and let it run for about 45 minutes this time. At this point I was wide awake for a while and watched a movie on my tablet. Dosed off at around 4:30am and woke up around 5:30am. At this point Moose was doing better so we got up and went for a short walk. Eventually he found his way to the creek and swam for a bit. No big elaborate breakfasts this morning. Donuts, little Debbies, and chocolate milk. We packed up after breakfast and were on our way. quickly getting into a nice sloppy, slick, muddy trail. The trail then took a turn for the worst. There was a landslide that took out the trail at some point and it was a tricky one to say the least. Trail damage was unfortunately acquired on each rig! On the plus side Jacob only had to winch once! After getting through the landslide section the trail got easier and we made better time.Found some more mud and few more creek crossings. Eventually leading up to a new waterfall. Over all it was another trip in the books!
