Описание: PARK RIDGE MAYOR & COUNCIL DECLARES DECEMBER 1, 2013 "JAMES GANDOLFINI DAY" AND ADOPTS HONORARY DESIGNATION OF PARK AVENUE AS "JAMES GANDOLFINI WAY."

The Borough of Park Ridge honored the late James Gandolfini by declaring December 1, 2013 as "James Gandolfini Day." The Borough designated Park Avenue, at the intersection of Kinderkamack Road, as "James Gandolfini Way." An official ceremony took place on December 1st at 12:00pm at the intersection of Park Avenue and Kinderkamack Road.

Several members of the Gandolfini family attended the ceremony, as well as members from "The Sopranos" cast- Tony Sirico, Vincent Curatola, Steve Schirripa, Dominic Chianese and John Ventimiglia.

James Gandolfini, best known for his award winning acting career, was a resident of Park Ridge and a graduate of Park Ridge High School. In addition to starring in movies and television shows, James Gandolfini also devoted much of his time to philanthropic and patriotic causes. He traveled to Iraq and Afghanistan visiting our nation's troops. He also worked tirelessly fostering Breast Cancer research, specifically with the "October Woman Foundation", once assembling the cast of the "Sopranos" in Park Ridge to raise funds for that charity.
