Based on the popular hymn "I Know My Redeemer Lives" Cardall's arrangement was first recorded on his Songs of Praise Album and later in a collection of his most personal compositions called Sacred Piano. Featuring cellist Steven Sharp Nelson who later founded the Piano Guys.

Shortly after receiving a heart transplant in 2009, Paul established an endowment at Salt Lake Community College that awards annual scholarships for students affected by congenital heart disease.
