Pipe clamps are not only very versatile and very strong, they are also a great economic alternative to those costly parallel clamps.
In this video I demonstrate a couple of 3/4" Irwin Pipe Clamps that I purchased of of Amazon. With the 2 Irwin clamps sets and 2 pieces of 36" black iron pipe, both of these pipe clamp assemblies cost me around $40. You would be luck if you could find 1 parallel clamp for the same price. In fact, Amazon sells many parallel clamps that range from $40 - $100 or more.
