Altering and Posting a Photo Without Permission | QOTD

Описание: Question of the Day: Someone has just used my photo (from my Messenger Profile) and used it in Face App, altered it, and posted it without my consent. Is this Legal? Can I sue this person?

No one can use a photo for which you own the copyright without your permission. Additionally, someone can’t use your image or likeness without your permission, and they can’t create an account in your name or image without risk of likely violating the rules of the platform and/or local laws regarding identity theft.

If legal questions were easy, we wouldn’t need lawyers.
