Nicki Minaj Says “Vote Red” Should Celebrities Tell Us How to Vote?

Описание: Nicki Minaj Says “Vote Red” — But Should Celebrities Tell Us How to Vote?

Nicki Minaj is encouraging young voters to get involved in the 2026 midterm elections—and she’s specifically telling them to “vote red.”

I’m all for encouraging people to vote. But there’s an important distinction between encouraging civic participation and telling people which political direction to choose.

Your favorite artist can have a political opinion. Your favorite celebrity can endorse a candidate or party. But your vote should ultimately be based on your own research, your priorities, the issues that matter to you, and the candidates’ records.

Don’t outsource your vote to a celebrity.

What do you think: Should celebrities use their platforms to tell people how to vote, or simply encourage people to participate?
