Best Ways to Slice Sourdough bread

Hi everyone this is Noris the Kung Fu Baker with Sourdough Delight bringing you a video on how to slice bread using different knives🔪
If you have a bread slicing knife the best way to start your cut is at an angle towards you or away from you then level off. If you don't have a bread slicing knife then your best option would be a sharp chef knife; which you probably have.
Take your chef knife and puncture the center of the loaf straight down then work your way with an up and down motion until the knife flattens out; successfully cutting half your loaf. Flip the loaf and do the same to the other side and finish it off by cutting the thicker bottom crust with a firm horizontal slice with downward pressure.
Keep in mind that fresh baked bread is harder to slice without crushing its texture; due to the extra moisture that hasn't evaporated yet. This is why I like to give bread a couple of hours to cool off and firm up before slicing... however, that isn't always an option, so 15-30minutes is often suggested, enjoy anyway you slice it!
