Описание: On warm sunny 12th August 2025, when I was staying in the #Llŷn peninsula I took the opportunity to visit #YnysEnlli or #BarseyIsland, but be advised you must pre-booked with boatman Colin via WhatsApp, see his number up on his website, just google “Bardsey ferry” & you’ll find it. It is a very historic island, and one of #iceland pilgrimage to this day. The ferry is a 12 seater fast catamaran, launched from shore by tractor either side. Weather must be suitable for the crossing, there are a lot of currents and whirlpools which give the Welsh name of the island, whilst the English name refers to Bards who visited it in times long past. As a day visitor I would advise against visiting on a wet day, there’s very limited shelter & few facilities. It is not set up for “tourism” and limited numbers are let in the island for good reason.
