大魔界村 / Dai Makaimura - Arcade All Clear - Infinite Play with item management [3x1UP]

The aims of this replay are to show the patterns that allow to play the game without picking up the wrong weapon (axe, sword, blue fire) and collect ALL the rare 1UP. Patterns appear to be very consistent because I only lost one life during this almost 5 hours run.

ITEM :
Some enemies have bags (random pattern) that can give bonus points (statue), weapons or 1UP item. Only one bonus at a time may appear on the screen (with the exception of stage 3-1). Stage 3-1 have forced scrolling and can get multiple bonus at the same time on the screen.
Except stage 3-1, If this bonus is not collected, no other one will appear. However, if Arthur is far away from this bonus, it will not remain in the RAM program. So you have to use the scrolling, knowing exactly how far away it will reset for the next bonus.
Arthur must also be aware of the scrolling movement, because it can also make enemies disappear (and the item bonus with) if they move slowly.
As the level design doesn't always allow to avoid picking up a bonus, the key is to let item in certains areas so that you can continue on your way without worrying about picking up a bad weapon.

1UP :
The first 1UP item is systematically given at the 32nd bonus. The next 1UPs can only appear randomly on a multiple of 32 bonuses, so on the 64th, 96th, 128th, 160th, 192th, 224th... The program rule is not very clear on this subject.
In this replay, almost 5 hours of play was needed to get 3 x 1UP. But I've already had 3 x 1UP with only 2 hours of play. So it depends on the random x32 multiplier.
Default settings give you extend at 30k, 60k and then every 70k points but as in Makaimura, there is a limit. When you broke the million points mark, the game doesn't give you any more extend. If you play marathon game for very high score, the 1ups are worth picking up.
