Telangana IT and Municipal minister KTR while speaking in Assembly about Annapurna Food Centres said these centres will be opened under GHMC. In this regard, he reminded all of 109 such centres under GHMC which are providing food for Rs 5 and will be increased to 150 centres with the name Annapurna Food Centres. He recollected that Rs 5 meals are qualitative which was appreciated by opposition leader Jana Reddy. He further stated that these centres will be opened permanently in hospitals and labour areas. He added to say that govt will take steps to maintain and improve the quality of food in these centres including the provision of water.
