From Acorn to Oak Tree!
Propagation and Germination from acorn / seed:
Collect Healthy Acorns
Remove the caps
Float testing: Put all the acorns in a water
Discard acorns that float in water
Soil – Compost
Use pots with drainage holes
The top of the acorn is planted upwards
Water them until water comes out of the holes
After 15 min. spray them again with soft water
Put them under a plastic bag to retain the moisture
Make holes for airflow
Put the pots in a warm and light place
Water them daily with a spray bottle, to make sure they don’t dry out.
It takes between 20-30 days to germinate.
