Sukkoth, also called the Feast of Booths or Tabernacles, is a commanded feast of Yahuah that calls His people Yasharal to dwell in sukkot (temporary shelters) for seven days, remembering that He made Yasharal dwell in tents when He brought them out of Mitsrayim. A reminder that we too are in a temporary dwelling.

The Eighth Day — Shemini Atzeret (שְׁמִינִי עֲצֶרֶת)

After the seven days of Sukkoth, Yahuah commands a final day of gathering on the eighth day, called Shemini Atzeret.
In Hebrew, Shemini means eighth, and Atzeret means assembly or gathering. It is a time to remain before Yahuah after the Feast has ended — a picture of closeness, renewal, and eternal dwelling in His presence.

Purpose of the Song

“Born in a Sukkah” is a song of remembrance and revelation. It celebrates Yahusha’s humble birth and the prophetic meaning of Sukkoth — that Yahuah, through Yahusha, came to dwell with mankind. As Yahuah tabernacled with Yasharal in the wilderness, so Yahusha tabernacled among us, full of compassion and truth. The song looks forward to the day when Yahuah will again dwell with His people forever.
