Azure SQL Database Failover Groups - Protect Multiple Databases From Regional Outages

Описание: In my last Azure Step-By-Step video, I was showing how to configure an individual Azure SQL Database to avoid failures in case of a regional disaster or large scale outage by using a feature called Active geo-replication (   • Azure SQL Database Geo-Replication - Prote...  ).

But if you want to protect serveral individual SQL databases or SQL Database Elastic Pools at once, Auto-failover groups should be the feature of your choice.

It is a declarative abstraction on top of the existing active geo-replication feature, designed to simplify deployment and management of geo-replicated databases at scale.
