Описание: Welcome to The One Minute Comedy Showdown — Houston’s wildest live comedy competition show, filmed weekly at the legendary Riot Comedy Club upstairs at Rudyard’s Pub!

Every week, 15 curated comedians go head-to-head in a fast-paced, high-stakes, no-holds-barred standup battle for $75 and ultimate bragging rights. Think Kill Tony meets reality TV, with a whole lot more smoke, spice, and southern grit.

SHOW FORMAT

This ain’t your average open mic. Here’s how it goes down:

• Round 1: 15 comics each perform a tight 1-minute set. Only 5 advance.

• Round 2: The top 5 return for another 1-minute shot. 3 move forward.

• Round 3: The final 3 perform full 3-minute sets, and one comic emerges victorious.

Each set is watched live on stage by our host, Jeff Joe, who doesn’t heckle — but always hits you with a punchline the second you walk off. The lineup is hand-picked weekly through email signups, giving new and seasoned comics a chance to shine under pressure.

ABOUT THE HOST – JEFF JOE

Jeff Joe is a towering figure (literally and figuratively) in Houston’s standup scene. Originally from Port Arthur, Jeff has made a name for himself as one of the city’s hardest-working comedians. He’s opened for heavy hitters like Russell Peters, Donnell Rawlings, and Shane Gillis, and recently appeared in Russell Peters’ New Year’s Eve special: Russell Peters & Friends.

Catch him weekly at Punchline Sundays, Punchline Mondays at Axelrad Beer Garden, or Swipe Right at The Riot. But this? This is his baby.

Jeff originated this show years ago at Axelrad. Now it lives and breathes at The Riot — and it’s bigger, sharper, and more savage than ever.

THE VENUE – RUDYARD’S PUB (The Riot Comedy Club Upstairs)

Located in the heart of Montrose, Rudyard’s is one of Houston’s most iconic venues. Originally known for punk rock and gritty dive bar energy, it’s evolved into a British pub with a full kitchen, killer cocktails, and some of the best pizza in town (shoutout to Gold Tooth Tony’s).

The Riot’s upstairs showroom is intimate, raw, and electric — low ceilings, 150 seats, and no bad angles. It’s the kind of room that makes you feel like you’re in on a secret.
