👏A passionate debate from the year 4 students!

🟣#YES - it provides a way to create a standardised assessment of every child. It is difficult to create a similar system which can be rolled out to the population with the same ease. The qualifications have also been around for many years which give them more credibility🗯

🟣#NO - not all children are the same🛑 - some are great at written communication whereas others have strengths which lie elsewhere, so not all assessments are fair! These assessments only serve to churn out the same robotic citizens and many end up in professions which are not suited to their skillsets.💭

🟣A team here has to debate for no and another for yes. Debate It! the game makes you argue for the side you may not fully believe in - can you create a compelling argument?

🟣Assessing people against the same standard in every subject area is not really fair, say some. Everybody has their strengths and should instead focus on strengthening these rather than focussing on their weaknesses.

🟣Alternatively, how else do we measure people in society to take on roles which require a level of competency such as doctors? Would you trust a doctor with only 'natural' ability that has never been assessed?
