Parkland Walk: A nature reserve on an abandoned railway line in London [4K]

Описание: Parkland Walk is a treasure. One of the most unique walks in London, it occupies the former site of the Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace rail line. Since the tracks were lifted in 1972, it has become a nature reserve and hosts myriad flora and fauna. There's even a bat sanctuary in what were once railway tunnels!

Thanks to gradient smoothing, it's also a pleasant walk on relatively flat ground, making it appealing to runners and ramblers of various skill levels. And it's very accessible, being bookended by Highgate station (Northern line) and Finsbury Park (Victoria and Piccadilly lines). It'll always be one of my favorites, so head down if you can.

Food recommendation: Go to the Goods Office, a former - you guessed it - goods office which served what was once Crouch End station, visible in the thumbnail or at approximately 24:49. The service is basically unparalleled for the area, the food is good and the location... Well, if you're reading this far, I don't need to tell you how good the location is.

Postscript: For a channel with, what, 75 subscribers? Hitting 50 videos* probably isn't that exciting. This isn't Smosh or whatever kids watch these days. But it's momentous to me. This always felt like a bit of a mad hobby but I've enjoyed every moment of it. Well, most of them. Going to Croydon was a definite low point.

I return to Parkland Walk, which featured in my second video and really my first "proper" attempt at a walking video in the style of Rambalac and other people who are much better at this than I am. I've got a better Camera now and I think I'm generally quite a bit better at this. So I figured I'd mark it by going back to where it all began.
