Brittany Ferries MV Cotentin was launched in 2007 for the Cherbourg to Poole route and begin a new planned freight route between Poole and Santander. The Cotentin proved successful until she was withdrawn form service in 2013 and chartered to Stena Line. Her charter with Stena ended in 2020, the beginning of 2021 saw the Cotentin wear its current livery where she began services between Portsmouth to Le Harve, Poole to Cherbourg (to aid the MS Barfleur) and France to Ireland routes.
