Security forces, including Delhi Police personnel in anti-riot gear and paramilitary forces, deployed smoke canisters to clear the intersection connecting Janpath, Ashok Road, and Raisina Road. The protesters were chased towards Raisina Road to reopen the key route connecting to Connaught Place. A similar action involving the use of smoke canisters was also taken near the Parliament as protesters reached the area.
