The Island of Gorée is a UNESCO World Heritage Site off the coast of Dakar in Senegal. We learned so much about its role in the African slave trade and saw the extreme contrast between the living quarters for the slaves and their traders. This tour had so much information that we had to show it in two parts—keep an eye out for Part 2 for the parts of the tour that were most eye-opening to us!
