Описание: The Heimaklettur Hike (Home Rock) is the best day hike in the Westman Islands of Iceland. This beautiful hike takes you up to the top of Heimaklettur for an amazing view over the island of Heimaey. If you only have one day in the Westman Islands, this is one of the best things to do.

You get a 360 view of the island. On a sunny day you can see all the way to the mainland. The Heimaklettur Hike takes about 2 hours to complete and is relatively easy aside from the chain holds, ropes and ladders. Don’t try this hike if you are afraid of heights or aren’t confident scrambling. Take 1L of water and a picnic to enjoy the views at the top.
