Adelaide’s O-Bahn busway is designed for buses only, but every so often, a car finds its way onto the tracks. Tonight, I witnessed one of these rare but amusing events near the Tea Tree Plaza interchange—the third such incident this year! Watch as a crane removes the car and, as a bonus, stick around for a surprise fireworks display from nearby Christmas carols.
A little history: the O-Bahn is the world’s longest guided busway, stretching over 12 kilometers and built to tackle public transport challenges in the northeast. While it’s a marvel of engineering, it’s no place for cars!
