I set off to explore the stunning islands of Barra, Berneray and South Uist in the Outer Hebrides - travelling by boats, walking along white sandy beaches...and attempting (unsuccessfully) to find one of the most remote lighthouses in Scotland.
Along the way I camped in Barra, stayed at the Howmore Hostel in South Uist and John's Bunkhouse in Berneray - both incredible stays and a real highlight of the trip.
From island hopping to getting lost in the wilds, this Hebridean adventure had it all....except the lighthouse!
